URBANDALE, Iowa — A Minnesota man has been charged with invasion of privacy in connection with an incident in Urbandale in January.
John Haben, 28, of Minneapolis, was booked into the Polk County Jail early Thursday morning and was released after posting bond shortly before 11:30 a.m. He is charged with two counts of invasion of privacy.

The charges stem from an incident on January 1st at a home in Urbandale, investigated by the Urbandale Police Department. Court documents filed in the case allege Haben intentionally left his phone recording in a bathroom where he knew the victims would be nude.
According to the criminal complaints, the two victims, who live in Arizona, were friends with Haben and were all staying at the Urbandale home of one of the victims’ parents for the holidays. The victims discovered the phone, which was recording, sitting in a pile of clothes in the bathroom shortly after Haben used the bathroom, the complaint said.
After confronting Haben, the court documents stated the victims convinced him to provide the password to his phone and more photos and images of them in the nude were discovered…
