DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines man is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from his father while serving as his conservator.
On Tuesday, 68-year-old Jack Gene Wilson was booked into the Polk County Jail on a charge of dependent adult abuse – caretaker dependent adult abuse by exploitation exceeding $100.
According to a criminal complaint, Wilson made unauthorized transfers of his father’s money to his own account while serving as his father’s conservator in 2022. The complaint states that, in total, Wilson transferred about $271,624.
