The Des Moines Water Works board of directors recently adopted a 10-year capital improvement plan to invest in the city’s water system.
The roughly $640 million plan includes main replacements, water quality projects, facility improvements and investments into the broader water system. The capital improvement plan outlines projects to be done in 2027 through 2036.
