WEST DES MOINES — Drivers will see more road closures and interstate construction soon as the southwest Mixmaster goes through a major update.
People heading west on Interstate 80 between the Southwest Mixmaster and Grand Prairie Parkway (Exit 118) will be taking a detour starting Friday.
“The Friday night closure is generally not impacting anything on the interstate traffic,” Akhilesh Pal, Iowa Department of Transportation Resident Construction Engineer said.
