West Des Moines man allegedly runs red light with cocaine

A West Des Moines man was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly resisted arrest after running a red light with cocaine.

Damon David Carlson, 51, of 4100 Pommel Place, West Des Moines, was charged with possession of a controlled substance-cocaine and interference with official acts and on a warrant for assault causing bodily injury.

The incident began about 5 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of E. P. True and Jordan Creek parkways, where a patrolling officer of the West Des Moines Police Department observed a vehicle, operated by Carlson, “running a stop light,” according to court records…
