Resource officer stops student with a knife at Indianola High School

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Indianola Police Department said they responded to an incident involving a student who brought a knife to the school.

According to IPD, they heard a report of a student who had the knife on Monday morning. Police found the student and confiscated the knife, with no injuries reported.

Authorities thank the students who noticed the knife and reported it to the resource officer so it could be quickly addressed. Officers say after investigating the incident, there is no threat to the Indianola Community School District.
