A Des Moines woman was arrested for drunk driving and child endangerment in rural Adel Sunday night after her vehicle was seen allegedly driving erratically on U.S. Interstate 80.
Nana Zulu, 28, of 7209 S.E. Fifth St., Des Moines, was charged with first-offense OWI, driving while barred, two counts of child endangerment and interference with official acts and issued a citation for failure to use child-restraint device.
The incident began about 10:15 p.m. Sunday on the westbound U.S. Interstate 80 near the 115 mile marker, where a caller reported observing a 2012 Chrysler 200 Touring “swerving all over the road,” according to court records. “At one point, the sedan reportedly stopped on the side of the interstate before driving westbound again and continuing to swerve.”…
