POLK COUNTY, Iowa — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Friday morning crash that sent two people to the hospital in northern Polk County.
It happened at 6:15 a.m. in the 15100 block of NW 44th Street, according to the PCSO. That’s about 2 miles south of Slater. Two vehicles were involved in the collision. The drivers, both adult males, have been transported to metro hospitals with minor injuries.
NW 44th Street between NW 158th Avenue and NW 150th Avenue was closed for about two hours while the PCSO gathered evidence. It reopened around 8:15 a.m.
