‘I heard God’: South Hardin senior recalls early May car crash

DES MOINES, Iowa — A South Hardin High School senior is preparing to leave the hospital and begin physical therapy nearly two weeks after a crash left him paralyzed. The crash also kept him from walking across the stage at graduation.

Instead, Brayden Harless watched the ceremony from a hospital bed in Des Moines, surrounded by family members wearing matching shirts.
