Storms return to Iowa after warm holiday weekend

DES MOINES, Iowa — We’ve warmed up compared to Friday as the holiday weekend begins, and more warmth is coming, along with rain chances.

Storm chances resume Sunday night, with the best chances in the northern half of Iowa. A little wind and hail are possible. Spotty storm chances linger into the early afternoon on Memorial Day.

We’ll get a break from the rain late Monday through Tuesday. Storm chances resume Wednesday through Saturday as seen below. We won’t have all-day rainfall, as the best storm chances will come in the heating of the day during the late afternoon and evening…
