Serious Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Collision in Jasper County

(Prairie City) One person suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision in Jasper County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Saturday at around 9:55 p.m. at Highway 163 and Prairie Avenue in Prairie City. Authorities say 19-year-old Aden Vanekeren of Prairie City and 22-year-old Paige Trunnel of Ankeny were injured in the crash.

According to the report, Vanekeren, driving a 2007 Chevy Impala southbound on Prairie Avenue, approached Highway 163, entered the intersection, and struck a 2021 Subaru Outback driven by Trunnel. Both vehicles ended up in the median west of the intersection…
