OAKLAND COUNTY, MI – A 20-year-old Detroit man has been charged in connection to a kidnapping and armed robbery in Pontiac.
The man was charged with armed robbery, unlawful imprisonment, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent and three counts of felony firearm.
The charges stem from a May 24 incident that happened at People’s Market in Pontiac. Officials say a 23-year-old Eastpointe man reported he had been kidnapped at gunpoint. The man told deputies he traveled to an address in Detroit to pick up a friend, and upon arrival, an unknown man entered his vehicle armed with what appeared to be a handgun and threatened to shoot him if he did not drive to Pontiac…
