WARREN — A Warren judge who was arrested in March has been charged with violating Michigan’s “super drunk” driving law.
John Chmura, chief judge of Warren’s 37th District Court, was arraigned June 10 on one charge of operating with blood alcohol content 0.17 or more.
In Michigan, while the legal limit to operate a monitor vehicle is a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or lower, the state’s high-BAC “super drunk” law applies to first-time offenders who drive with a BAC of 0.17 or higher.
