A quiet stretch of northwest Detroit turned into a crime scene early Sunday when gunfire left one person dead and two others wounded near Joy Road and Wyoming Avenue.

The shooting was reported around 4:30 a.m. in the Cloverlawn area, and all three victims were rushed to nearby hospitals. Responding officers said the suspected shooter took off before they arrived, and a full police investigation is now underway.
