A Westland bowling alley shooting, a forgotten ID, and a federal sentence — 5 years in the making

DEARBORN, Mich. – A man linked to a 2021 shooting at a Westland bowling alley has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison.

Federal agents raided Gregory Augusta Powell’s Dearborn home in 2025, leading to his arrest on a federal charge of unlawful possession of ammunition.
