A metro Detroit woman is asking for help recovering a piece of her family’s history after two hand-drawn portraits of her great-great grandparents were accidentally sold at a garage sale.

Jennifer Richeson says the portraits, which date back more than a century, were mistakenly sold at a northern Oakland County garage sale. After more than a week of searching and hundreds of social media shares, she is hoping someone in the northeastern Oakland County community may recognize them.
