The Michigan Public Service Commission canceled a public meeting focused on utility affordability after a DTE Energy power outage took out power to roughly 212,000 customers, including the Detroit building where the gathering was scheduled to be held.
The Sept. 3 meeting was scheduled to be held at the Durfee Innovation Society near the Boston-Edison Historic District but the area was among those affected by a DTE outage stemming from a series of storms, according to the utility’s outage maps.
The Michigan Public Service Commission said the meeting was postponed because of “ongoing severe weather in southeast Michigan.”…
