Teens bound over to circuit court on felony charges

EASTPOINTE — Two teens were recently bound over to Macomb County Circuit Court on felony charges following an incident earlier this summer where the two suspects, who will be tried as adults, were allegedly involved in a nonfatal shooting at a Wendy’s in Eastpointe.

The suspects are Rayonnate Steen Jr., 16, and Isaiah Reynolds, 15. Both are from Detroit. The charges remain the same as when they were originally arraigned before Magistrate Mark Makoski in Eastpointe’s 38th District Court June 24.

Steen faces four charges, including assault with intent to murder, a felony punishable by any number of years in prison up to life; felony firearm, punishable by two years consecutive with the main charge; carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, a five-year felony; and malicious destruction of personal property valued at $200 or more but less than $1,000, which is a one-year misdemeanor…
