WAYNE COUNTY, MI — Following tornadoes, severe storms and power outages earlier this month in Wayne County, state health officials say food replacement benefits for lower-income residents have been extended.
Residents who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and were affected by the storms in Wayne County may be eligible for benefits to replace food that spoiled during power outages or was lost to storm damage.
