Macomb and Metro Detroit Road Closures: Major Updates and Detours Through 2026

Several road and infrastructure construction projects are underway in Macomb County and Metro Detroit starting this week. Construction crews will repair bridges, rebuild roads, and protect pavement to help protect pedestrians as part of the Macomb County Department of Roads (MCDR’s) 2026 pavement preservation program, with durations through fall 2026 depending on location.

These updates and projects will help improve infrastructure across streets, trails, and major corridors.
