The Detroit Board of Ethics submitted a list of outside attorneys Wednesday, Sept. 16, to lead an investigation into the city’s chief legal officer for his lucrative position as a board of director for an auto supplier with a plant in Detroit.
The probe into the city’s Corporation Counsel Conrad Mallett Jr. also will look into whether he properly disclosed that his son works for the city.
The board of ethics’ list includes the former federal prosecutor who helped to convict former Mayor Kwame Kiltpatrick, Michael Bullotta; and the law firm Mogill, Lemanski and Gerometta. The firm and Bullotta are candidates to oversee the ethics probe for possible conflicts…
