A 35-year-old Detroit man who left his toddler son in an abandoned car overnight last winter has been sentenced, court records said.
A Wayne County Circuit Court judge on Monday gave Orlander Linson Jr. five years’ probation.
“Given all the circumstances in the case, we believe it was a fair resolution,” the defendant’s lawyer, Charles Longstreet, said on Wednesday. “Mr. Linson is a loving father who made a mistake and has accepted responsibility for his role in the occurrence. However, he was not completely at fault for his son being missing for a number of days.”
What sparked the charges
