A routine afternoon at a Harper Woods urgent care turned chaotic yesterday when gunfire broke out in the parking lot, forcing staff and patients to evacuate but leaving everyone physically unharmed. Police say the clinic was caught in the middle of a dispute between two groups and was not the intended target. The men involved took off before officers could make any arrests.
What the police say
According to CBS News Detroit, officers were called to the 19900 block of Vernier Road around 3:40 p.m., where they determined an argument in the parking lot escalated into an exchange of gunfire. Police evacuated everyone inside the urgent care, spoke with witnesses and confirmed that no one had been shot. As of the most recent update, no arrests had been made.
