Trash Can Thrown Into Crowd at Rolling Loud Festival Knocks Person Down

Additional Coverage:

A trash can was thrown into the crowd during this year’s Rolling Loud festival in Orlando, sparking concern among attendees and online viewers.

Rolling Loud, a major hip-hop music festival held at Camping World Stadium from May 8 to 10, featured headliners Don Toliver, Playboi Carti, and Ken Carson. However, the event wasn’t without its share of disturbances.

A video circulating on social media shows a festival-goer tossing a blue trash can into the audience, striking a person who then fell to the ground. Bystanders quickly helped the individual to their feet.

It remains unclear whether the person sustained injuries or if any police intervention followed.

The incident drew sharp criticism on social media platform X, where users condemned the reckless behavior. Comments ranged from labeling the act as “dangerous and stupid” to calling for swift action against the perpetrator. One user likened the chaotic scene to a survival sport, describing it as “dodgeball with random objects flying through the crowd.”

Additional footage from the festival revealed other attendees throwing trash cans and jumping on them. During his performance, rapper PlaqueBoyMax was also targeted with thrown objects. This isn’t the first time artists at Rolling Loud have faced such disruptions; in 2022, Kid Cudi ended his headlining set early after repeated water bottle tosses from the crowd despite warnings.

Rolling Loud has faced multiple controversies over the years, including backlash over remarks made by DaBaby in 2021, and logistical issues like artist delays and set cancellations. This year, Playboi Carti’s security team was accused of damaging a photographer’s camera, adding to the festival’s turbulent reputation.

Some attendees have voiced frustrations on Reddit about the crowd behavior, artist punctuality, and limited activities between performances.

Representatives for Rolling Loud have been contacted for comment on the recent incidents.
