Carolina Hurricanes Foundation gives $50,000 to address childhood summer hunger

RALEIGH, N.C. (WECT) – The Carolina Hurricanes Foundation has given $50,000 to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to address summer hunger among children.

The money will fund more than 150,000 meals for families during the summer months, when students lose access to school breakfast and lunch programs, the food bank said.
