DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The Durham County Board of Commissioners gave their stamp of approval to the $1.5 billion Durham County suggested budget on Monday night, and with that comes property tax increases and more.
According to Durham County, the budget passed at a total of $1,049,757,411. It includes a property tax rate increase of 2.5 cents, which brings taxes to 57.92 cents per $100 valuation. This also represents an increase of .5 cents from the proposed budget in early May.
