Five years ago, Tracy Turner nearly lost her life when an impaired driver crossed the center line and hit her motorcycle.
“What that meant for me was I lost my left leg. It broke my pelvis and every bone in my left hand and arm,” said the retired Raleigh police officer. “I lay there on the side of the road looking up at the sky unable to move. I was completely conscious, and I knew it was bad.”
