WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WNCN) — Several towns in Wake County will host Independence Day festivities and fireworks displays leading up to America’s 250th birthday.
Town of Wendell spokesperson Tyler Newman says the celebrations start on Wed., July 1, at 9 a.m. with the Stars, Stripes & Syrup Veterans Breakfast at Wendell Community Center, honoring local veterans and their families for free.
On July 2, the fun continues with a Golf Cart and Bike Parade at 6 p.m. from J. Ashley Wall Town Square to Wendell Park, followed by the Wendell Fireworks Show and Concert at 6:30 p.m., featuring the Main Event Band at 7 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m…
