Pedestrian struck, killed while exiting GoRaleigh bus. Why no charges were filed.

A pedestrian has died after he was struck by an SUV while exiting a GoRaleigh bus last month, according to police.

Raleigh police said they responded to a reported collision at 4:45 p.m. on June 29 at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Bramer Drive in northeast Raleigh.

Dennis Dillion, 34, was exiting a GoRaleigh bus at the intersection when he walked in front of the bus and into an active travel line on Atlantic Avenue to cross the road. He was struck by a Lincoln SUV, which police said had the right of way to continue northbound past the stopped bus…
