Mecklenburg County has reported 19 cases of cyclosporiasis, and Cabarrus County reported one, as cases rise nationally.
Cabarrus Health Alliance believes the case was not acquired domestically, based on the travel history of the patient. The CDC is tracking domestically acquired cases, as some cases, especially those acquired in other countries, are normal in the summer.
