Durham city leaders received an update on plans to turn part of the old police headquarters property into an 80-unit affordable housing development.
For eight years, the city has been divided over what to do with the former headquarters at 505 W. Chapel Hill St. In March, the Durham City Council backed a plan to build income-restricted apartments on the city-owned land and to preserve the former headquarters, known as the Milton Small building.
