A Durham assistant police chief faces three charges, including hit-and-run, following a crash Friday on Interstate 540, according to a State Highway Patrol collision report.
The report alleges that a vehicle driven by Assistant Chief Raul Garcia veered into an adjacent lane, struck another vehicle, and continued driving after the collision. No serious injuries were reported.
