‘Jamari’s life mattered’: Service planned for young Morrisville man who died in Durham shooting

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A North Carolina family will hold a service Saturday for a slain young Morrisville man who they said was a son, brother, nephew and friend to many before a deadly northeast Durham shooting this month.

Jamari Sharpe, 21, of Morrisville, was found shot the afternoon of August 6 in the 2500 block of Ross Road near Junction Road, according to a Durham Police Department news release.
