A mother is mourning the loss of her daughter after a fatal shooting in Durham during the weekend.
Police said 38-year-old Lontrel Alston is charged in connection with the death of Victoria James, who was killed Saturday while inside her car with her two children in the 5300 block of Revere Road.
Durham police responded to the scene after receiving a call reporting the shooting. Authorities allege Alston fired into James’ vehicle, killing her and injuring her daughter. James’ son was not hurt…
