RALEIGH, N.C. (WECT) – The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) has identified the likely source of a rare case of brain-eating amoeba.
In August, a North Carolina teenager was infected by the warm-freshwater amoeba Naegleria fowleri. The teen died earlier this month.
