An investigation into reports of students feeling ill at Apex Friendship Middle School ended without a determined cause after fire officials and hazardous materials teams found no evidence of a gas or chemical issue.
According to Apex Fire, an odor was detected in some sixth-grade classrooms Friday morning, prompting school officials to evacuate students from the campus.
