OKLAHOMA CITY – A teen accused of shooting and killing a security guard at a hotel in downtown Oklahoma City will soon be formally arraigned, officials said.
The Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office said on Jan.11, 2026, 16-year-old Warren Colbert shot Sunjun July in the parking lot of the Wyndham Grand Hotel.
Investigators said that before the shooting, July, who was a security guard, told Colbert and a group of juveniles to leave the hotel’s property.
