El Paso Summer Heat: What To Protect From Soaring Car Temperatures

Summer’s coming, (officially, unofficially I think it started in March), and it’s gonna be a hot one. No surprise there but if you’re new to summer in the 915, don’t leave these things in your car.

The last couple of summers have seen record breaking temps in the Sun City and Summer, 2026 could well set some more. That remains to be seen but, even if we have a “normal” summer, it’s going tp get hot AF around here so make sure you don’t leave any of these things in your ride.

The Farmer’s Almanac says we’re looking at a warmer than average summer here in the southwest and across the USA in general. That means we have to be careful what we leave where.

Things Not To Leave In Your Car During An El Paso Summer

First of all, no people, no pets. That’s just dumb. Unless you have the AC running, (on high no less), and a responsible adult present, this could be disastrous. Temps inside a vehicle can top 130 degrees within half an hour. Cracking a window doesn’t do s**t…
