A recent report found that three Texas cities are among America’s most overweight in 2026, with one ranking second overall.
WalletHub recently released its list of the Most Overweight and Obese Cities in the U.S. for 2026 — McAllen was at the top at No. 2, followed by El Paso (No. 24) and San Antonio (No. 25).
The top spot went to Little Rock, Arkansas.
To determine the most overweight cities in America, the publication compared 100 of the most populated U.S. metro areas across three key dimensions, including obesity (the number of overweight adults and children), health consequences (adults with high cholesterol and heart disease) and food and fitness (access to healthy food, parks, recreation)
