EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — As Independence Day approaches, El Paso Animal Services is reminding locals to take steps to keep their pets safe during one of the busiest times of the year for lost animals.
Officials said that the Fourth of July is consistent in bringing an increase in stray and lost pets as fireworks, large gatherings, and unfamiliar activity can frighten animals and cause them to escape from homes and yards.
