EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A journalism teacher at Horizon High School has been selected to attend the Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network’s (C-SPAN) Summer Educator’s Conference to explore free resources and learn strategies for the classroom.
Ashley Diaz is one of 31 middle and high school teachers chosen across the country for the conference, which took place July 27 through 29 in Washington, D.C.
Educators will have the opportunity to explore free digital resources available through C-SPAN Classroom, including lesson plans, bell ringers, current event videos and more, according to the news release by C-SPAN.
Participants in the conference were selected through a “competitive” application process, which was led by a panel of C-SPAN representatives.
