EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF) celebrated the achievements of more than 230 scholarship recipients and recognized the generosity of the donors who made their educational journeys possible during its annual Scholarship Reception on Thursday, July 30, at the El Paso Community College Administrative Services Center.
This year, the foundation awarded more than $570,000 through 43 scholarship funds, helping students throughout the Paso del Norte region pursue higher education, technical training, and career aspirations. The scholarships reflected the lasting impact of individuals, families, businesses, and organizations that chose to invest in the next generation through charitable giving, the foundation said.
“The generosity of our scholarship donors extends far beyond financial support,” said Tracy Yellen, chief executive officer of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation. “These scholarships open doors, remove barriers, and send a powerful message to students that our community believes in their potential. Every scholarship awarded represents an investment in the future of our region.”
