El Paso joint task force ends a brief standoff with the arrest of 36-year-old man

EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A joint law enforcement operation in El Paso ended on Wednesday when a wanted man surrendered after a brief standoff, authorities said.

According to the El Paso County Constable’s Office, Precinct 1, on Wednesday, the office assisted in an operation with the El Paso Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, and the Texas Rangers to apprehend a wanted subject in the 200 block of Carnival Drive in El Paso.

After a brief standoff, authorities said 36-year-old Adam Martinez surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody without further incident…
