A routine traffic stop in Canutillo, Texas, quickly turned into a foot chase after deputies discovered the driver was wanted on an active warrant. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect attempted to escape on foot but was captured a short time later.
According to Sheriff Oscar Ugarte, deputies initiated the traffic stop around 8:27 p.m. on August 5 in the 7000 block of Fourth Street after noticing a vehicle with defective tail lamps. During the stop, deputies identified the driver as 37-year-old Daniel Ocon.
