For over 100 years, El Paso has enjoyed the experience of going to a movie theater and seeing cinema on the big screen. We still have theaters if we wanna go to the movies like Tinseltown, Flix Brewhouse, or our AMC theaters. You could also still relive the magic of going to a drive in theater like the Blue Moon Drive-In, which was featured on The Texas Bucket List a while ago.
However we know there are several places that have come and gone within the city’s long history.

According to Cinema Treasures, a website dedicated to showing news involving movie theaters all over the United States, they’ve listed a total of 45 different theaters that have closed in El Paso. They’ve even listed those have been torn down and are no longer with us.
