Heavy rain threat Thursday night in El Paso area

Well, any day where we don’t have a dust storm is pretty darn nice! Today, we enjoyed partly cloudy skies, lighter winds, and no dust. Tomorrow, the winds get a little stronger but (thankfully) no dust. Here’s your exclusive 9-Hour Forecast for Tuesday with your 9-Day Forecast below.

TONIGHT:   The skies will be mostly clear overnight with just a few passing clouds.  The moderately gusty winds will slowly die down in the night.  Until then, the SW winds will range from 10-25 mph.  The low will drop to 58.  Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and a high of 88.  The SW winds will pick up by the afternoon and gust near 35 mph (no dust).

FORECAST:  Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and a high of 88.  The SW winds will pick up by the afternoon and gust near 35 mph (no dust).  Wednesday will be partly cloudy and will turn mostly cloudy by Wednesday night.  The SW-west winds will range from 10-40 mph with a slight dusty haze.  Winds will be strongest on the east slopes, and the high will be 89.  On Thursday, a powerful low-pressure system brings in some Pacific moisture.  This will give us cloudy skies, scattered showers, and even the potential for heavy rainfall from Thursday evening through the early morning hours of Friday.  Thursday’s high: 71* (which could happen at midnight). Friday will be partly to mostly cloudy and windy with lingering, “wrap-around” moisture from Thursday’s system.  Friday’s high will be 70, and we’ll see a few isolated showers here and there.  The NW winds will range from 10-30 mph.  Saturday will be mostly sunny with lighter winds and a high of 75…
