Erie man accused of aggravated assault against officer appears in court

(WJET/WFXP)– The Erie man charged after allegedly cutting a police officer with a knife appeared for his preliminary hearing on Monday.

According to court records, 31-year-old Nabitu Musabika appeared before Judge Edward Wilson on charges of aggravated assault, evading arrest and related misdemeanors for allegedly cutting a City of Erie police officer during an incident on May 19.

Court records show all six charges were waived to court, with Musabika still being held in the Erie County Prison on $150,000 bond.
