Pymatuning State Park closes swimming at beach over bacteria

(WJET/WFXP)– Pymatuning State Park has closed swimming to one of their beaches over elevated levels of bacteria.

Park officials prohibited swimming at Tuttle Beach on the Pymatuning Reservoir after routine water testing showed an elevated coliform count.

Officials said testing will continue every day and will re-open swimming once bacteria counts go down to an acceptable level. In the meantime, they also said day use area remains open.
