Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are requesting the public’s help in identifying the operator of a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) which fled from officers during a traffic stop attempt on June 13 in Erie County.
According to an official report from the Erie Patrol Unit, troopers attempted to stop a UTV around 5:15 p.m. on June 13 after observing multiple traffic violations on Hill Road in Venango Township. Police stated the driver failed to pull over when emergency lights and sirens were activated, leading officers to initiate a brief pursuit.
Authorities reported that the UTV continued a short distance before leaving the roadway. The vehicle was last seen traveling through a nearby field and into a wooded area off Hopson Hill Road, where it ultimately evaded police.
