During the June 2 Spartansburg Borough meeting, a question was brought to Council regarding fence placement near property lines, particularly, regarding setback requirements.
Councilmen Ben Byler and Nate Blakeslee both indicated they were unaware of any borough ordinances governing setbacks for fence placement.
“I know this conversation has come up in the past, and far as I know, there is none [ordinance regarding setbacks],” Byler said. “I know the fence between me and my neighbors is right on the line. My fence is eight feet, so I don’t believe we have any height restrictions either.”…
